FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kalen Kimberland scored 10 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome third-seeded University of the Cumberlands as the Patriots topped the sixth-seeded Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team 58-47 on Friday in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament at the Frankfort Convention Center.

Andrija Tintor added seven points for Lindsey Wilson, while Darren Ballou and Chase Spreen each added six points in the loss.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team tries to earn a trip to the Mid-South Conference Basketball Tournament championship game, while the men open postseason play on Friday at the Frankfort Convention Center.

The No. 4-seed women face a tough task in No. 1-seed Campbellsville (Ky.) University, which hasn't lost a game to a conference foe all season, at 1 p.m. CT.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kalen Kimberland was named the Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year as five different Blue Raiders earned a conference award on Thursday at the annual MSC basketball awards banquet held before the conference tournament.

Senior Eric McPherson earned a spot on the all-conference team, while Kimberland and senior Andrija Tintor were honorable-mention choices.

Senior Ismar Neto and sophomore Chase Spreen were recognized as Academic All-Conference with a sophomore or higher class standing and 3.25 or above grade-point average.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's and women's basketball teams concluded regular season play on Saturday afternoon and immediately set their sights on the Mid-South Conference Tournament which begins Thursday, March 4 in Frankfort, Ky.

The Blue Raider women earned the fourth seed in the eight-team tournament and faces No. 5-seed University of Rio Grande (Ohio) at 11 a.m. CT on Thursday at the Frankfort Convention Center.

ST. CATHARINE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team struggled today in its regular season finale falling at St. Catharine (Ky.) College 64-46.

The host Patriots dominated the glass out-rebounding the Blue Raiders (14-16, 5-9 in the Mid-South Conference) 43-26 and forcing Lindsey Wilson into 22 turnovers. St. Catharine improves to 20-10 and 8-6 in the MSC.
