Damon Hicks is hired as the head cheer and dance coach for Blue Raider athletics.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College athletic director Willis Pooler has announced the hiring of Damon Hicks as the cheer and dance coach for Blue Raider athletics.

Hicks comes to Lindsey Wilson with a wealth of experience. The Ohio State University graduate has spent the past 10 years running Damon's CTA in which he coaches all-star cheer and dance competition teams, power tumbling competitions and choreographs state-championship caliber routines within Adair County and surrounding areas.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Five Lindsey Wilson College cheerleaders were honored tonight at the Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championships at the Frankfort Convention Center.

Lindsey Wilson senior Tiffany Golver and sophomore Heather Gordon earned All Mid-South Conference honors as selected by the conference coaches. The pair was members of the 10-woman team.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College cheerleading program has signed Emily Chesser for the 2009-10 season, LWC coach Eve Fields announced on Friday.

Chesser cheered for four seasons at Nelson County High in Bardstown, Ky. She is the daughter of Martin and Rebecca Chesser.

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson College cheerleading program recently added three Adair County High School graduates to its roster for the 2009-10 season.

Natalie Brooke Collins, Samantha Jo Jessie and Paige Smith all signed to cheer for Lindsey Wilson.

Collins is the daughter of Jerry and LeeAnn Collins; Jessie is the daughter of David and Holly Jessie; and Smith is the daughter of Kenny and Robin Smith.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College cheerleaders competed in the Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championship, held Thursday night at the Frankfort Civic Center. Six LWC cheerleaders were honored for their efforts in the classroom and on the tumbling mat.

Two Lindsey Wilson cheerleaders were among 10 cheerleaders named to the Mid-South All-Conference Cheerleading team: seniors Derek Johnson of Lewisburg, Ky., and Erin Williams of Russell Springs, Ky.
