COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Amanda Johnson entered the Lindsey Wilson College track & field record book twice on Saturday with the program's first Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Year award for the state of Kentucky and a school record in the indoor one-mile race walk.
Johnson earned the athlete of the year honor from USA Track & Field (USATF) after winning the Race Walk Athlete of the Year award the past three seasons.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's track and field team has signed Christian County High standout Sherria Hester to a NAIA scholarship.
Hester finished third at the KHSAA Class 3A State Track Championships in the Girls 400 meter dash with a time of 58.12 seconds. She finished less than a second behind the winning time of 57.32 seconds. Hester earned six points for Christian County her finish.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Elizabeth Amponsah has signed with the Lindsey Wilson College women's track and field team, coach Edwin Hagans announced on Wednesday.
Amponsah finished 13th in the KHSAA Class 2A State Track Championships in the Girls Shot Put with a throw of 30-5 feet.
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Lindsey Wilson College junior Amanda Johnson and sophomore Megan Furnish each score points in the Women's 3,000 meter Race Walk today at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships at Ralph Korte Stadium.
Johnson earned five points for the Blue Raiders following her fourth place finish. The Morganfield, Ky., native, finished the 3,000 meters with a time of 15 minutes and 45.20 seconds.
