COLUMBIA, Ky. -- North Bullitt (Ky.) High School standout Meri Brian signed an NAIA scholarship with the Lindsey Wilson College women's track & field team, the school announced on Friday.
The Shepherdsville, Ky., native is a three-time competitor in the long jump at the Kentucky State Track Meet, as well as a two-time qualifier in the triple-jump competition.
MARION, Ind. -- Lindsey Wilson College's three entries in the women's 5,000-meter race walk at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships finished in eighth, ninth and 10th place on Friday at the Outdoor Track Complex on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.
Senior Amanda Johnson led the trio with a time of 27 minutes and 44.66 seconds, earning one point for the team total. Nicole Furnish finished just behind Johnson in 28:18.88, while Chelsea Conway rounded out the group with a time of 28:46.71.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Two-time Kentucky State Track Meet qualifier Madison Mills from Daviess Co. High School signed an NAIA scholarship with the Lindsey Wilson College women's track & field team, the school announced on Friday.
Blue Raider Head Coach Edwin Hagans plans to use Mills in distance events, an area where she has competed for a state title in the 3,200-meter run in 2009 and 2007.
MARION, Ind. -- Sherria Hester made the most of her opportunity, giving the Lindsey Wilson College women's track & field team a qualifier for Friday's semifinals at the Women's NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships on Thursday at the Outdoor Sports Complex.
Hester finished the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.77 seconds to advance to the semifinals which are scheduled during session six on Friday.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College track & field head coach Edwin Hagans has signed race-walk specialist Reini Brickson to an NAIA Scholarship, the school announced on Tuesday.
Brickson is from Yellow Springs, Ohio where she competes for Yellow Springs High School and with the Miami Valley Track Club.
