COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson track & field coach Edwin Hagans announced two additions on Monday to the team for the 2009-10 season.
Union County High's Kyle Hetrick and Henderson County High's Omni Morgan becomes the 18th and 19th student-athletes to sign with the Blue Raiders for the upcoming season.
COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's track & field team has signed Ben Joseph for the 2009-10 season, LWC track & field coach Edwin Hagans announced on Monday.
Joseph finished seventh in the boys pole vault at the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Class 3A State Track & Field Meet in late May in Louisville.
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Lindsey Wilson College senior Koji Hashiyama finished 12th in the Men's Marathon at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.
Hashiyama finished the marathon in a time of 2 hours, 40 minutes and 15 seconds. He missed the program's record by three minutes set in 1995.
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Lindsey Wilson College freshman Roberto Vergara finished seventh in the Men's 5,000 meter Race Walk today at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships at Ralph Korte Stadium.
Vergara finished the 5,000 meters with a time of 24 minutes and 4.97 seconds to help the Blue Raiders earn two points toward the team's total.
SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador -- Lindsey Wilson College freshmen Ricardo Vergara finished 12th representing the U.S.A. at the 2009 Americas Race Walk Championships in San Salvador, El Salvador this weekend.
Vergara finished the 10,000 meter race with a time of 49 minutes and 37 seconds. The winner was Caio Bonfim of Brazil who finished the race at 43:04.
Vergara qualified for this race by finishing third with a time of 48:05 in the U.S.A. Time Trials event on April 3.
