Ruff led nine members of the first wrestling team at Lindsey Wilson to an appearance at the 2010 NAIA National Championship in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Blue Raiders concluded the season with a 6-7 record in dual meets, including winning two of their four duals at the Mid-South Conference Championships.
Lindsey Wilson notched the team's historic first dual-meet win on Dec. 1, 2010 against King (Tenn.) College, 29-13, at Biggers Sports Center.
Prior to starting the program at Lindsey Wilson, Ruff served as assistant coach at Ellsworth Community College for two seasons. He was also a member of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's coaching staff from 2003-06.
During his time at Ellsworth and Wisconsin-La Crosse, Ruff helped coach four national champions, 24 All-Americans, 19 regional champions and 40 national qualifiers.
While at Wisconsin-La Crosse, Ruff helped the team improve its national tournament finish each of the three seasons he was on staff. In 2004-05, UW-La Crosse finished as national runner-up in the NCAA Division III National Championships.
At Ellsworth, Ruff helped the team to a fifth-place finish in 2007-08.
Before his collegiate coaching career, Ruff spent four years as the assistant coach at Arcadia High School in Wisconsin. While at Arcadia he led the strength and conditioning program and assisted in all other aspects of the team.

Coach Abe Cross is in his second season as assistant coach with the Lindsey Wilson College wrestling program.

While also serving as an athletic administration intern for the college in 2009, Cross split time coaching the first-year wrestling program. This season, Cross will serve as the lead assistant coach for the Blue Raiders.
Cross has had a variety of wrestling coaching experience before arriving at Lindsey Wilson. Most recently, Cross served as assistant coach at Lowell High School in Michigan. Cross helped Lowell earn the 2009 Division II Michigan State Championship and coached seven all-state selections.
Cross has served as coach for a number of club programs, including the Red Arrow Wrestling Club in 2008-09 and Team Michigan Gold in 2007. Cross was a volunteer coach for the Perry Wrestling Club in 2003-04.
Cross wrestled collegiately at Michigan State University where he was a three-time letter winner and Academic All-Big Ten selection.
At Perry High School, Cross was a two time All-State team member and set the school record for takedowns in a single season.

Coach Shane Perkey is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Lindsey Wilson College wrestling team.

Prior to joining the Blue Raider's staff, Perkey spent the 2008-09 season as a student assistant at the University of Indianapolis (Ind.).
As a student athlete at Indianapolis, Perkey recorded a 149-23 record, finishing as runner-up in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championship as a senior. Perkey placed fourth at nationals the three years prior.
As a prep wrestler, Perkey tallied a 163-13 career record at Jimtown High School in Indiana and finished third in the state championship as a senior.
