Nathan Clark and Nico Navarro earn spots on MSC All-Conference Team
BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- With three individuals carding scores in the top 10, Lindsey Wilson College finished second overall on Tuesday in the MSC Men's Golf Championship at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood.
The Blue Raiders finished 17 strokes behind the winner, finishing with a 927 (308-311-308) through three rounds. Cumberlands (Ky.) took the team title with a 910 (295-309-306) and Campbellsville (Ky.) rounded out the top three with a 950 (321-311-318).
Nathan Clark led Lindsey Wilson, finishing second overall, with a three-round 226 (75-73-78). Cumberlands' Aaron Watkins -- the MSC Player of the Year -- won the individual title after adding a stroke each day with a 222 (73-74-75).
Other Blue Raiders in the top-10 overall were Nico Navarro tying for eighth place with a 233 (75-82-76) and Chris Lewis finishing 10th with a 236 (78-80-78).
Ryne Burnett was the final Lindsey Wilson scorer, finishing 12th overall after carding a 238 (85-77-76). Daron Morris turned in a 239 (80-81-78) to finish tied for 13th on the leader board.
Clark and Navarro earned spots on the MSC All-Conference Team with their scores. Georgetown's (Ky.) Marcus Lake earned MSC Freshman of the Year honors after finishing tied for 13th with a 239 (78-80-81).
