Proceeds from Jan. 14 doubleheader against St. Catharine will go to Coaches vs. Cancer.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's and women's basketball programs will take part in the Suits and Sneakers campaign to help raise awareness for the Coaches vs. Cancer charity.

Proceeds from ticket sales for the Feb. 4 doubleheader against St. Catharine (Ky.) College at Biggers Sports Center will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Suits and Sneakers calls for all coaches to wear sneakers with their suits to help raise awareness for cancer fundraising, research and the Coaches vs. Cancer charity, which is one of the designated charities recognized and endorsed by the NAIA.

Colleges around the country at all levels have organized special events to help raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer. Many NAIA schools have designated various events to support the program.

The NAIA national office has arranged with the American Cancer Society to set up an account specifically designated for donations received from NAIA basketball programs.

The NAIA-NABC Coaches Association will present a check to the American Cancer Society during the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship game on March 23.
