CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's indoor track and field team opened its season at the Cedarville (Ohio) University Indoor Invitational on Friday.

A trio of Blue Raiders qualified for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships with their showings at the event. Senior Amanda Johnson, junior Megan Furnish and freshman Chelsea Conway all qualified for nationals in the 3,000 meter race walk.

Johnson -- who finished in 15 minutes and 50.68 seconds -- earned six points for her fourth place finish. Furnish (16:49.15) finished seventh for three points and Conway (17:07.78) finished eighth for two points.

Senior Kristina Wimsatt earned the most points for the Blue Raiders with 10 points in two events.

Wimsatt finished fourth to earn five points in each the high jump and the long jump. Wimsatt recorded a jump was 4 feet 6 inches (1.37m) in the high jump and 15-7.50 feet (4.76m) in the long jump.

In the mile, freshman Tessa Kasch finished sixth with a time of 5:45.56 and sophomore Alicia Mattingly crossed the line seventh with a time of 5:48.82. Kasch earned four points and Mattingly added three.

Sophomore Sharon Rono completed the scoring with four points in the 5,000 meter run. Rono finished 10th in the event and fifth among collegiate racers with a time of 20:00.18.

Lindsey Wilson finished fifth in the nine-team event with 32 points. Wright State captured the team title with 253 points.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on February 13 as the Blue Raiders travel to the DePauw University Invitational in Greencastle, Ind.
