Junior Joe Hood helped lead men's golf to the No. 20 ranking in the NAIA Preseason Poll.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- After receiving votes in the last men's golf poll on May 8, 2009, Lindsey Wilson College is ranked 20th in the Preseason NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released on Friday by the national office.

The Blue Raiders received 158 points in the poll, while Oklahoma City University was picked as the team to beat with 529 points and all 19 first-place votes.

Lindsey Wilson was strong in the fall season, posting a win in the President's Cup over Campbellsville on Sept. 5 at the Pines at Lindsey Wilson and finishing second in the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament on Sept. 22 at the Campbellsville Country Club.

Rounding out the top three spots of the poll were Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) at No. 2 with 509 points and University of South Carolina-Beaufort at No. 3 with 483 points.
 

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groups. The first regular season rating will be announced on Feb. 26.
