COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College cycling program has signed Madison Pitts, coach David Grigsby announced on Friday.

A native of West Palm Beach, Fla., Pitts is a BMX specialist that is consistently ranked in the top-10 in the world rankings.

"Madison is an incredible talent," Grigsby said. "Her accomplishments on the bike are too numerous to list. She will be a threat in the dual slalom."

Pitts finished ranked second nationally in the National Bicycle League and first in Florida in 2008 despite missing half the season due to injuries. She finished 2007 ranked eight in the world and 2006 fifth in the world.

"I decided to attend Lindsey Wilson because of its unique cycling program," Pitts said. "I am veryexcited to further my education while continuingto progress in the sport I love."
